A support rally for Ukraine was held at the Big Spring Park Gazebo in downtown Huntsville this afternoon. This video live streamed on Twitch begins with a/the Ukrainian anthem and an inspiring and heartfelt prayer prior to the introduction of speakers.

I’ve gone walkabout again in Downtown Huntsville! This time I wandered through the Christmas trees on the Tinsel Trail in Big Spring Park. All the trees made me feel like I was in that Rudolph Reindeer Christmas show, only without the snow or storm or abdominal snowman! And, of course, I missed Clarice. This is my Christmas treat for you.
I thought thirty minutes would really just be the beginning and so after a little while I decided to move down the parade route and exit back around to take a look at some of the tree lights in Big Spring Park. And then – there was Santa Clause bringing up the rear!
Here are a couple of nice snapshots I took in Big Spring Park recently. My Galaxy A21 takes some practice to figure out the best use of its aspect. Sometimes a photo is transcendent and needs no explanation. These are such amazing photos.

Posted: 7:15 p.m. – These were the scenes in downtown Huntsville just a few minutes ago. The George Floyd protest organized by an Oakwood University student drew a large crowd, perhaps as many as 2000.
Protesters lingered in and around Big Spring Park on Saturday evening as summer music sponsored by Arts Huntsville filled the air and attracted large crowds – mostly not standing too close together.
