An awesome rendition of an awesome song for this Easter Sunday by Wynonna. I shot this video at Big Spring Jam in 2004 back in the day when most cell-phones didn’t have video and even though you could take still cameras into the show, video cameras were still taboo.
Not really paying attention to much of anything, I was suddenly alarmed by what I instinctively thought must have been a small bomb. I don’t remember exactly when all this occurred, excepting that it was not terribly long after 911 and I suppose my sensitivities where somewhat tuned to the new reality of “everything has changed.” When I looked up, almost right in front of me, just across the Big Spring canal and immediately beneath the Central Bank parking deck, there was a cloud of dust and what I first thought was smoke rising into the air.
I think maybe the kids around here, and a bunch of grups too, got some extra time off for snow. But, who am I to criticize, since I too stayed in doing little to attempt any usual work… except a makeover for my mobile boots!

Australia, you know, was founded by Westerners as an English penal colony. No wonder she’s a little chiselly, she must be the progeny of some pretty unscrupulous characters!
The moral of the story is: Whether you go strolling through Big Spring Park, or go surfing the liberal TV network, wear your flip flops and watch out for the bird Poop.
