Ground breaking ceremonies are over and the heavy equipment is rolling on the construction site for Huntsville’s new Municipal building. No word yet as to whether a sky bridge will connect the two sides of Big Spring Park.

U.S. Paralympics came to Huntsville for a second time in a three day event beginning in Big Spring Park with hand-cycle relays on Friday, time trials on Saturday and road races in Research Park on Sunday. This video is from the first races on Sunday.

Sculpture Downtown Removed
A metal sculpture removed from Northside Square closed the road while onlookers anxiously waited in front of Poppy & Parliament and Big Oh’s. Helicopters were not required for this operation.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Huntsville 2022
The parade commenced as scheduled with an amazing number of courageous onlookers braving the cold with wind chills around 20°. I staked out a vantage point between buildings where the wind wasn’t blowing quite as much while a lively crowd gathered along Jefferson Street hooten and hollering along with the wind being funneled in like it was green beer.
