Alabama Governor Kay Ivey late this afternoon issued a statewide “Stay at Home” order to be effective tomorrow, April 4, at five p.m. and to expire on April 30, at five p.m.
The order imposes broad restrictions with an aim to forestall any additional spread of the covid-19 Corona Virus. The order is, however, liberal in personal allowances and the considerations of essential businesses.
In essence, most state residents are already practicing or under similar orders where the primary focus is to ensure the six foot distancing rule. The state order adds consistency and legal weight to the potential need for enforcement.
