Although I respect that coal provided the economy of many impoverished communities and the lifeblood of electricity for many others – I am no fan of coal plants or coal mining. Today, TVA demolished the fabled Widow’s Creek steam plant releasing the video above on Twitter.
Some once believed that Widow’s Creek would be supplanted by the ultimately ill-fated Bellefonte Nuclear plant which, in spite of near complete construction, never actually came on-line. TVA says others sources have replaced the power lost from the decommission of the coal plant.
