After I pulled up the photo of Jeff Cook of the Alabama band last week, I took a second look at the photo set I have of Lynard Skynard hoping to find a shot suitable for a future TOCC TV cover. Alas, the band is worthy but my photography is not. Well, reall it is, but putting a horizontal aspect ratio onto a verticle cover just isn’t going to fit.
I don’t really think that Jeff Cook has been hanging out on the square in downtown Huntsville for 107 years. The photo above was taken in 2005 when the fiddler guitarist of legendary country/pop band Alabama stopped over in Huntsville to sign autographs at the historic Harrison Brother’s Hardware store in downtown Huntsville. The band was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.

Donald J Trump doesn’t speak softly, but he sure as hell carries a big stick. If he can keep his own big toes out of the way, like newly affirmed Attorney General Jeff Sessions, it’s just barely possible that he can negatively impact crime, enhance medical care for all – and make America greater than ever before.

How can I get more followers when I’m up against that kind of competition. I could point out the “collateral” damage of innocent bystanders during our militaristic tirades,.. And, I could point out the obtuse decadence and indifference of billion dollars a minute Super Bowl commercials, and everything else in American culture, while there is poverty, hunger, and homelessness right here at home in the United States… ad nauseum.
All in all Gorsuch seems like a good choice to replace Scalia, well educated, consistent, and even tempered. Unfortunately, his one notable credential is exactly the one that I consider to be one of the biggest dangers to our constitutional jurisprudence…
