Unfit Butler Terrace Addition Razed

The Butler Terrace Addition public housing complex located off Governors Drive is being razed this week. The units had been vacated for over a year due to unsafe levels of radon.

The area is now slated for redevelopment which will include shops, recreation areas, and some public housing and additional living spaces as well. The makeover is expected to include a pedestrian friendly shopping experience.

City planners say this makeover will be an extension of downtown.
