After the murder of woman by ICE agents in Minneapolis today it’s obvious that ICE was “asking for it” by setting the stage to retaliate for the death of the National Guard members that illegally engaged in warfare. The national guard members were following illegal orders, engaged in defacto war crimes, against a civilian community.
ICE may or may not have a job to do but they are expected to do so in an appropriate and legal manner. Obviously, they are not. They are wrongly militarized while engaged in a domestic policing activity that could mostly be accomplished through administrative function anyway.
The US military should recognize the sedition, insurrection and treason of Donald Trump and forcibly take him into custody to stand trial for those things, and for the other war crimes. Kristi Noem and Pete Hegseth are especially disturbing, irrational and dangerous. It is apparent that they, and others in the Trump administration, are emersed in a demented group psychosis – especially dangerous considering events on the world stage. Responsible Congress members must begin impeachment proceedings against Trump and facilitate any other punitive measures or restrictions possible against Noem and Hegseth immediately.
The situation on the world stage is unfortunate but appears to have required adjustments. Nevertheless, it is extremely dangerous, potentially to the point of nuclear World War. That does not excuse ICE, the Trump administration, or Donald Trump from engaging in criminal actions and war crimes.
