Legalize Marijuana Nationwide

On my adventure last year I had several opportunities to acquire recreational marijuana products in the states where it is legal. I’ve never understood why weed is illegal and according to most observations, it’s a better alternative for enjoyment than alcohol products. I agree wholeheartedly.

In some states, like Alabama where I live, THC is only legal for medical use. In fact, Alabama can’t even get it’s shit together to make that available two years after it was legalized. Suffice it to say, Alabama is a state where perpetuating the plantation system is threatened by use of recreational marijuana, and it is obvious that opponents are blocking what is already, in theory, legal.

Since I don’t have any ailments, and never have had a “mental illness,” I don’t have a medical reason to enjoy weed. Therefore, I fully endorse any action that would legalize recreational weed on a national scale. I have no doubt there are many medically beneficial applications for THC that could be available with or without the benefit of medical guidance. I don’t however, endorse legalizing psychedelics or other “hard” drugs unless it’s with medical guidance. (Marijuana is not a “gateway” drug. Illegal drug dealers are.)

There are conflicts and problems associated with legalizing recreational weed on a national scale. The current, totally ridiculous, classification of THC by the FDA causes weed to run afoul of various federal laws and that then creates a regulation gridlock. The simple answer is that the weed classification be changed, and then recreational weed be legalized nationwide.

My observations assure me that weed is not the same as the others in the current classification. The efforts by some in the Medical Industrial Complex making that claim are simply an echo of the Alabama plantation mentality, because it ultimately protects and facilitates an illegal caste system that exploits defacto slave labor.

Legalizing weed nationwide is a very good idea.
