Alabama State Senator Arthur Orr’s perpetual, long time grandstanding has already made it clear he is not interested in the well being of people and will gladly hyper-focus on a nonexistent, petty issue to aggrandize himself in front of his hick-a-billy constituents.
Currently Orr is sponsoring legislation to dissallow SNAP recipients from buying soft drinks or candy with their benefits. He says that’s the freedom they loose for having been driven into poverty by Alabama’s corrupt and enforced plantation system.
This Neo-Nazi mentality is why Alabama is an economic failure in the first place. It’s the same approach that continuously fails. It’s Trump’s approach, which is now finally resulting in job losses, not creation. (At least if you’re forced to work overtime, you’re the one that gets to keep your job.)
Basically, their mantra is to persecute the most vulnerable (appeals to ignorant hick-a-billies) in a way that benefits the defacto hyper-controlling (arthur-orr-atarianism) plantation owners – holding the reigns so tightly it chokes economic progress.
Conservatives are just now beginning to see Trump’s backhanded subplot is actually communist dictatorship, not legit conservatism. The people of Alabama are already stigmatized enough and even a belated increase in minimum wage isn’t going to be enough to take up the slack. The hatefulness isn’t just draconian, it’s being imposed with the literal intent to result in authoritarian Neo-Nazism.
Arthur Orr should resign if he doesn’t want to support constitutional values for everyone.
