The AI Bomb

The AI Bomb Is Coming. (Photo by Geralt.)

The algorithms have disclosed advances & sophistication of AI in social media. The potential is very disturbing to say the least. It’s hard to say this but, there will have to be federal regulation. The applications are endless, but Congress should’ve prohibited state regulation.

I used to wonder how techies and nerds could even muse that AI could potentially “take over.” It’s no longer far fetched. In some very relevant ways, without federal regulation, the purveyors of AI will unleash their army and alter the social and political landscape.

Regulating AI must not be a state level patchwork that will actually increase the dangers and perils of what could actually amount to an insurrection. Congress should immediately take the reins and begin an incremental & well considered approach to establish AI boundaries.

St. Pat's Parade Huntsville 2026

The parade got off to good start today with great weather, warm temperatures, sunny skies and little breeze. This year’s parade seemed well organized with many nicely done fancy floats and krewes that were in a festive mood.
